Words of Gratitude
In partnership with the Calgary Public Library, I am hosting a workshop.
Language arts and art therapy come together! Participants will explore words and phrases that express gratitude, then bring them to life in a hands-on therapeutic art exploration. Their creative creations can be taken home and shared with someone they are grateful for.
Audience: Kids - Ages 6 to 9
Where: Country Hills Library - Country Hills Library - Main Floor - Program Room

Just Brrr-eathe
In partnership with Carya, I will be hosting this free workshop at the Village Commons (610 8 Ave SE #110, Calgary, AB).

Feel The Colour
In partnership with Carya, I will be hosting this free workshop at the Village Commons (610 8 Ave SE #110, Calgary, AB).
Step into a world of colour and creativity with this engaging art workshop for adults. Blending a touch of art history with a hands-on activity, the session invites participants to explore the vibrant world of Wassily Kandinsky—a pioneer of abstract art who believed that colour and form could express deep emotion.

Guess Watt?
In partnership with Carya, I will be hosting this free workshop at the Village Commons (610 8 Ave SE #110, Calgary, AB).
Let’s brighten the learning journey together! This workshop will empower kids (7 and up) to cultivate mindfulness by creating DIY projectors using simple art supplies. Participants will explore additive colour theory and an art-based technique to enhance focus and promote mental wellness.

Just Breathe
Inhale courage, exhale fear. Kids explore how the power of the breath can be used to cope with anxious moments.

Let Go Of Control
Acknowledge the good emotions along with the bad. Kids cultivate acceptance by identifying what they can and cannot control, learning to be self-compassionate rather than judgmental.

Thought Surfer
Navigate negative emotions as you would surf on a wave in the ocean. Kids learn to be aware of automatic thinking patterns and begin to build coping mechanisms by learning to see a negative emotional state as temporary.

Flip Your Lid
Quieten the storm before you become angry. Kids investigate triggers associated with strong emotions and learn how the fight, flight, or freeze response acts as the body’s built-in alarm system.

Felt Sense
Feel the feels, knowing all feelings are valid. Kids learn emotions are neither good nor bad, simply a signal, building the connection between emotions, physical sensations, and thoughts.

Just Be

I See, Do You?
The 1.5-hour in-person workshop(s) aim to inspire participants aged 7 and above to craft an Agamograph while delving into the theme of empathy. Originated by Yaacov Agam, this visual art technique utilizes optical illusions to alter the image based on the viewer's vantage point.

Teen; weight of worry workshop - week 3
To alleviate one’s worries, kids will learn self-regulation techniques using simple art supplies.
Over the course of 3 Sundays, teens learn art-based strategies to craft a pop-up-style book with resources to alleviate worries. Can’t commit to all 3 days? Simply sign up for one workshop.
